Beautiful forests, flowers, mushrooms, lake scenery, camping at both Blossom and Pear lakes if you wish to backpack in, small tributaries along the way.
What was most noteworthy?
Blossom and Pear lake are very scenic, great mountain landscapes, green forest trails, easy hiking for any age, dog friendly.

Know before you go?
Midsummer, lots of mosquitos, bring bug spray. Some areas do have a lot of loose rock, may require hiking poles if necessary. Well-populated trail but keep caution and bring bear spray just in case.

How do you get there?
Thompson Pass is the trailhead, up Coeur d’Alene River Road, turn right at the road for Murray and Pritchard, continue on until you reach Thompson pass, the parking lot is on the right, the restroom is at the trailhead.
