Andreas John

Publisher

Andreas John is the founder and owner of Nspire Magazine, a lifestyle publication highlighting the beauty, adventure, and culture of the Inland Northwest. With a passion for storytelling and community, Andreas leads Nspire in celebrating local voices and inspiring readers to explore and connect with the world around them.

Under his leadership, Nspire Magazine has grown into a respected voice in regional media, known for its stunning photography, compelling features, and emphasis on local voices. Andreas brings a background in publishing, marketing, and creative direction, pairing entrepreneurial drive with an eye for authenticity.

Kristina Lyman

Editor

Kristina Lyman is a writer and marketing consultant. An award-winning journalist, she was a reporter and editor for newspapers across the country, including The Detroit News and The Arizona Republic. She later served as a communications executive in Phoenix, where she worked with business development and economic policy. Kristina lives in Coeur d'Alene with her husband and two daughters.

Joel Riner

Director of Photography

Passion, Experience, Dedication. I think those are three words that describe my photography career well. Since my Freshman year in college many years ago I have pushed myself to become the best photographer I can be. Whether it was spending extra hours in the darkroom or trekking up a mountain with my 4x5 camera or going in on days off to shoot some creative studio work, the passion for the craft has not faded. My time in photography has taken me to many beautiful places and I have had the pleasure of photographing some amazing people. I have captured the work of so many creative individuals. As I continue to pusue photography I am dedicated to pushing myself to always be better.

Patrick Fanning

Creative Director

I am many things and one of them is a Visual Designer. The passion I have for design seeps out of all of my work. My most notable skill is the ability to be a chameleon. It is not my job to inflict my personal style on your identity; rather, my number one priority is to help your identity/brand flourish and stand out in a sea of similarity. I have only been designing professionally for several years; I still have so much room to learn and grow..

Kayla DeTienne

Director of Advertising

Kayla DeTienne brings a dynamic blend of creativity, strategy, and relationship-building to her role as Advertising Director at Nspire Magazine. With a strong background in media sales and brand development, Kayla is passionate about helping businesses tell their story and reach their ideal audience through thoughtful, effective campaigns.

Known for her collaborative spirit and keen market insight, Kayla works closely with clients to craft advertising solutions that align with both their goals and the magazine’s mission to celebrate the best of the Northwest. Her energy and commitment to excellence make her a key driver in expanding Nspire's advertising partnerships and elevating its regional impact.

When she’s not connecting with clients or brainstorming the next great campaign, Kayla enjoys exploring the outdoors, supporting local events, and finding new coffee shops to fuel her next big idea.

Calli John

Project Manager

Born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Calli brings her grounded perspective and organized mindset to every project she leads. As a Project Manager, she keeps teams aligned, deadlines on track, and clients confident—all while making the process look easy. When she’s not managing moving parts and milestones, you’ll likely find Calli enjoying the great outdoors, spending time with family, or planning her next adventure.

Chris Celentano

Feature Photographer

Chris Celentano is a Coeur d'Alene, Idaho based outdoor adventure, landscape, wedding, and real estate photographer, who strives to put a unique spin on all of his photographs and makes a concentrated effort to include the outdoors in his work. He thrives most where he is challenged on an extreme level, both physically and mentally. This generally occurs somewhere high in the mountains or on one of the many lakes and rivers in the region. This environment is where he finds peace and does his best work photographically and physically in the many outdoor sports he partakes in.

Michal Bennett

Michal Bennett is a freelance writer, editor, poet and blogger dedicated to creative storytelling, exploring the world around her and inspiring others to health and vibrant living. She and her husband live in the heart of Coeur d'Alene, where she often succumbs to the allure of the outdoors, local culture, and adventures in fresh, delicious food and drink.
