» 6 cloves of garlic, peeled and sliced
» 2 quarts of tap or purified water
» 1 tablespoon natural, unscented soap, like castile
» 1 spray bottle
In a saucepan, warm water until it begins to steam. Add sliced garlic and keep at this temperature for about 20 minutes. Cool. Remove garlic from water and discard or compost it.
Pour the soap into the bottle. Add enough garlic water to fill the bottle to ½-inch from the top. Put the lid on the bottle and shake slightly.

Spray plants early in the morning or in the evening after the hottest part of the day has passed. Several applications may be needed. Avoid using the spray on hot days, since the liquid and sunlight combination may burn the plants. Extra liquid can be stored in a glass jar in the fridge for up to two weeks.
