Anthem Pacific Homes is big on creating the ‘wow’ factor by throwing unexpected elements into its home designs.
For instance, at the Skyline, a home in the Quiet Ridge neighborhood in northwest Post Falls, the custom builder has put in all sorts of unique touches. Where other builders have been working lately with lighter wood trim, Anthem Pacific Homes went with the darker gray and black tones. Where there’s a current décor trend to use quartz throughout a kitchen, the builder found an impressive piece of granite instead.
Co-owner Jinger Voeller said if she runs across an especially interesting light fixture, she’ll find a way to incorporate it, too.
“We love to think outside the box,” she said.
All these design elements came together at the 2,615-square-foot home. The look is modern Craftsman, with three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths and a lot of surprises.
Voeller said homeowners and visitors can have great experiences whichever way they enter the home. They can enter through a covered porch and a long entryway into the great room. Or they can come in through the garage to a large mudroom/laundry room and then into the kitchen. She said the mudroom was made larger, since modern homeowners seem to want a ‘drop zone’ to put everything down when they get home.

The great room has 12-foot ceilings, creating extra space. Large windows also help bring in the light.
The home is built with entertaining and flow in mind, and it’s easy for people to move from the great room to the big kitchen to the dining room, even to the covered backyard patio.
There’s a large office by the entryway, and a loft upstairs with a rec room and two bedrooms as well. A 36-by-42-foot shop is perfect for big toys.
Voeller said Parade of Homes visitors had a lot of good things to say about the Skyline, especially the unique ring lights in the great room.
“They loved how big the kitchen was,” she said. “Plus, the lights were a big hit.”
The Skyline received four Parade of Homes awards in the Pine category for best kitchen, master suite, interior and curb appeal. N
