Why do you recommend it?
There is a lot to learn about this old forest full of ancient cedars. It is nature at its best. Bring your family and enjoy the old trees and trails. Plenty of parking and picnic tables at the trailhead.
What was most noteworthy?
There is a small loop trail through the cedars that’s great for the family. There’s also a trail that continues through the lush forest for another 2 miles alongside a creek.

Know before you go:
A stream runs nearby and there’s an area where you can build rock structures. Bring your bug spray for mosquitos, a leash for your dog and a camera to capture the beauty of the ancient trees and forest.

How do you get there?
The Ross Creek Cedars scenic area is located 29 miles south of Troy off Hwy 56 on Ross Creek Road 398. The scenic area is 100 acres in size and is home to cedar trees 1,000 years old. A 0.9 mile accessible loop trail will lead you along an informative path.
