Create your own fairytale ending with
a home hidden amongst the trees.

Humans are drawn to the woods. There’s something mystical about the unknown, something that inspires us to explore and create. At this home, paved roads lead you into the woods, and the woods lead you home.
Located in the Lone Mountain Estates outside Rathdrum, this mountain contemporary home is hidden within five acres of private timberland.
“We had a little fun with the exterior of this home, giving it a slight modern twist to our usual craftsman style appeal,” said Jessy Tripp of Timbered Ridge Homes.
The 3,059-square-foot home opens into the great room, which immediately floods your senses with nature thanks to the wall of windows that greets you. The beam accent is complemented by the floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, while the pitch of the vaulted ceiling continues into the covered patio in the backyard.
“We wanted to do our traditional craftsman style, but twist in some modern flair such as the linear fireplace,” said Tripp. “It’s very usable and functional inside, yet has a grand but cozy feel.”
The open floor plan blends the kitchen and the living room into an ideal space for entertaining while continuing to be family friendly and functional.
“The windows bring the outdoor forest inside,” said Tripp. “The setting of this home feels like it’s so private and in its own little forest.”
The three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms are all located on the main level, with an office right off the entry and a bonus room located over the three-car garage. The guest bedrooms each feature a built-in desk and large windows, with a shared Jack and Jill bathroom with private vanities.
The laundry room is conveniently located by the mudroom and garage entrance, since it’s easy to get dirty when you have five acres to play with.
The master suite features a vaulted ceiling with beam accent and a spacious walk-in closet. Large windows flood the rooms with sunshine.
“We chose light and bright colors, but not too sterile,” said Tripp. “We wanted to keep it cozy, but bright.”
The master bath feels bright and open. The underlit dual vanity provides ample space and storage. The tiled walk-in shower is spacious and has a bench as well as three different shower heads.
The oversized freestanding tub with tile wainscoting commands the room. The bath alcove frames the modern tub perfectly and is the exact width of the spacious window that reveals the forest. It feels open and light, like you could reach out and touch the trees.
“The master bathroom feels like a spa with that huge picturesque window looking out into the trees,” said Tripp.
This is what Timbered Ridge is known for: rural land and home packages destined for those who just want to get away from it all, while still feeling neighborly with a roughly 15-minute drive to town.
With the motto of “turning trees to keys, one satisfied customer at a time,” they know where their clients hearts want to go…
