Home’s award-winning kitchen
On the outskirts of Rathdrum lies the Brookshire Community, which hosts one of Hayden Homes’ most popular-selling home plans, the Orchard.
This single-story home is suitable for many buyer types, but young families and retirees tend to be the primary purchasers in this community, said Hayden Homes regional marketing specialist Stephanie Link.
The home combines a craftsman style exterior with a traditional yet contemporary interior. At 1,800 square feet, the highlight of this
three-bedroom, two-bath home is its kitchen.
It has a huge island, walk-in pantry and lots of counter space. Natural lighting from the dining room windows fills the space and illuminates the white cabinetry and stainless-steel appliances.
“This year, in the Parade of Homes, the home that we featured won best kitchen from the (North Idaho Building Contractors Association),” Link said. “It has a huge, amazing island. The layout is really ideal for the home chef.”
The living room, complete with an electric fireplace, is separated from the dining area and kitchen by the breakfast bar, lending itself to entertaining. Off in the corner, homeowners have the option of choosing between a desk or a wine bar with refrigerator and cupboard storage space.
The dining area leads to a covered back porch and well-clipped lawn, which circles around to the front of the house. A slim garden space winds its way around the house’s perimeter.
The welcoming entry, wide hallways, abundance of natural light, vaulted ceilings, open layout, and luxurious master suite is appealing to anyone from beginning families to empty nesters and retirees, Link said.
Hiding away in the master bedroom is a spacious bathroom with a separate tub and shower, walk-in closet and dual vanity. The two additional bedrooms share a smaller bathroom close to the entryway. For those desiring a little more space, options are available to add a fourth bedroom or den near the entryway or a junior suite over the garage.
Link said the home’s development is a growing one.
“This new community has a beautiful entry with tree-lined streets and walking paths,” Link said. “Eventually, it will have hundreds of homes and an elementary school within the community. It’s truly an ideal north Idaho setting.” N
