This 2,396-square-foot home overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene was built to showcase the view of the water.

“This lot had some limitations that we needed to work with, including designing a floorplan that would be cohesive, and also accent all the best aspects of the property,” said Jessica Cargile, CFO/Head of Design and Marketing for North Ridge Contracting. “The flow is beautiful for entertaining, and the view side of the home is really maximized.”

The builder achieved what it set out to accomplish as the home received two first-place honors in the Cedar category for best interior and best master suite in the 2022 Parade of Homes.

The three-bedroom, four-bathroom home is on a single level but built above a garage. It includes a full deck that wraps around the lake side of the home and leads to a natural landscaped front entry area and a crusher cone fire pit.

A rustic outdoor seating area on the patio can be enjoyed throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions like rain or snow.

There’s plenty to enjoy here, especially the view of natural surroundings. Windows in just about every room are designed to let you appreciate the beautiful lake and surrounding forest.

“The aesthetic was a twist on traditional Craftsman style, with a few modern elements and a gorgeous color palette that combines the warmth of browns, wood textures and some greys to create a rich and inviting mood,” Cargile said.

The home includes decorative glass throughout, including cabinets and doors. There are also mixed metal finishes and fun combinations of greys and natural tones that add depth to the overall design.

The Skylark emphasizes beautiful views of Lake Coeur d’Alene, and sunny days are further enhanced by reflective Cambria quartz in the kitchen.

In the kitchen and some of the other rooms you’ll find Cambria quartz countertops. In the living room a stone fireplace serves as a focal point. A guest suite was designed to give visitors their space and privacy.

“The room includes its own kitchenette, where guests can feel like they can get away to their own space while still being on the same level and very close to the rest of the home,” Cargile said.

Cargile said the home’s design reflected what the client requested, an approach the company likes to follow in all its building projects. N
