    Luxury meets functionality

    0
By Nspire Magazine on August 26, 2025 Home

One of the great things about living in North Idaho is how quickly you can get away from it all. In just a few miles, you can be outside of the city and nicely nestled in the woods.

That’s part of the appeal of Lone Mountain Estates, a housing community north of Rathdrum. Timbered Ridge Homes has created 125 estate-sized forested lots that provide a sense of seclusion but also a sense of community.

Terra Vista offers sturdy, rustic design.

Terra Vista is a perfect example. The four-bedroom 2,915-square-foot home on 5-plus acres and is surrounded by trees.

The home combines luxury and functionality, said the Laj Tripp, the builder’s marketing and sales director.

“Our homes aren’t just structures but warm and inviting spaces to make people feel at home,” Tripp said.

Many of the rooms in Terra Vista offer windows to allow homeowners to enjoy the home’s natural surroundings.

Terra Vista generally follows the builder’s popular Ridge Series floorplan but includes some creative variations and upgrades.

One of the first things to notice in the home is the tall vaulted great room with a sturdy beam accent. Dominating the room is an enormous, elegant stone fireplace. Large wood-framed windows make it easy to look outside from comfy furnishings. Or if the mood strikes, there’s a door that takes you outside to a covered vaulted patio.

The great room has vaulted ceilings, large windows, storage shelves, and an impressive stone fireplace.

The great room also includes several Terra-stained alder cabinets that create functional storage space as well as a stylish look.

Story continues after a quick message from our sponsor below

Nearby is a large kitchen with an oversized island featuring low-maintenance and durable quartz countertops. There’s lots of counter space where one can work, prep meals, or even pull up a stool. Plus, the kitchen has plenty of storage, a double oven cabinet and a walk-in pantry.

The kitchen area includes quarter countertops and an oversized island.

“For those who love to cook, this chef’s kitchen is a dream come true,” Tripp said.

Attention to detail and quality materials was used throughout both stories, including the spacious bedrooms, the 2.5 bathrooms, and an open room that can be used as an office space or another bedroom.

The primary suite includes a large custom-sized walk-in closet, plus easy access to the patio. The primary bath features a large, tiled shower with a rain showerhead and a soaking tub.

The spacious master bath includes a soaking tub, his and hers sinks, and recessed lighting.

Homeowners will also have access to an attached three-car garage, which provides additional storage space for supplies, tools or vehicles.

The covered patio area is particularly appealing, since it can be used all year round, whether it’s enjoying the snow in winter or socializing in warmer months.

The entryway allows people to enjoy the blend of dark trim and bright walls, plus opportunity for natural light to come in.

"Because the homeowners love to cook, they requested a spacious kitchen. It features light-colored cabinets with granite countertops plus toe-kick lighting. It is also easy to access the butler’s pantry that includes darker, ebony-toned cabinets as well as an illuminated storage area to show off an impressive liquor and stemware collection."

A Hidden Gem-In North Central Washington
.
"Similar to Coeur d’Alene Lake, Lake Chelan has approximately 110 miles of shoreline. It is roughly 50 miles long and, on average, over a mile wide. Interestingly, it is the third-deepest natural lake in the country behind Lake Tahoe and Crater Lake. In fact, the lake reaches a depth of 400 feet below sea level!"

    The Whistler Trail
.
"One of the first things to attract attention is a large arched window on the iconic stairwell projection, adjacent to the front door. It’s wrapped in stained shake and is designed to catch the eye and draw it upward. The entryway includes stone and wood pillars and a sitting area on the front porch. The landscaping also complements the natural tones."
