Why do you recommend it?
Great trail to bring the family. Well maintained with a mild climb, the trail follows West Fork Placer Creek which will provide show stopping water features along the way.
What was most noteworthy?
Learning the history along the way of Edward Pulaski as the fire crew daringly escaped the 1910 fires in the mine.

Know before you go?
Always recommended to bring bear spray with you. Moose and other wildlife have been spotted on the trail.

How do you get there?
Take Exit 61 for Wallace/I‑90 Business—stay right at the end of the ramp and head south. Turn left onto I‑90 Business Route (Front Street). After about 0.1 mile, turn right onto 2nd Street. Continue on 2nd Street for a few blocks, then turn right onto Bank Street. Bank Street becomes King Street. Follow it south as it turns into National Forest Road 456 / Moon Pass Road. Continue on FS Road 456 for approximately 1 mile. The well‑marked Pulaski Tunnel Trail parking lot will be on your left — just before or at a water tank.
