The Bryce is Rosenberger Construction’s final home in the exclusive Rimrock Meadows community in Hayden. The two-story, three-bedroom house offers 3,572 square feet of living space. It is surrounded by trees on a large lot, which is part of its appeal to nature lovers. In 2024, it received the Parade of Homes’ Tamarack award for best curb appeal.

One of the more unique features of this home’s exterior is the type of masonry utilized. The builder used a German schmear technique that involved applying a thin layer of mortar to brick or stone, and then partially wiping it off. This creates a textured, whitewashed appearance. In this case, when the mortar was applied to the Eldorado limestone, it created a sense of character and charm as well as producing an overall rustic, farmhouse experience.

A large patio offers plenty of options for homeowners and guests, including a covered seating area with comfy couches as well as an adjacent outdoor dining area. The effort to blend indoors and outdoors also includes a natural gas fire bowl that can be enjoyed under the stars.

The gourmet kitchen features intricate cabinetry as well as a waterfall quartz top on the kitchen island. The cabinets, created by Cooper Cabinets, are clear alder with a custom stain and glaze. Metal mesh elements were added to the uppers as well as the custom hood over the oven. The overall look for the kitchen was enhanced by a pair of Frederick Ramond drum chandeliers. The open-flow design also makes it easy to move between the dining room, the great room and the backyard, making it ideal for entertaining guests or family gatherings of all sizes.

The spacious master bathroom includes a deep, long tub next to the walk-in shower. Lighted or back-lit mirrors in this bathroom and in the powder room creates interest. The powder room has a type of IBMirror called LED Solar, and the master features other styles of IBMirrors. These mirrors are able to provide a clear surface for personal grooming no matter how steamy the room gets.

The dominant item in the great room is the stone fireplace, which was designed using the same schmear technique on limestone as the exterior. The ceiling is 23 feet at the peak, which creates a great feeling of space. The ceiling is balanced by wide plank European white oak supplied and installed by Lake Forest Design Center. Visitors can enjoy looking at the fireplace and mantle as well as large windows facing the outdoor forest.

A sink and plenty of counter space can make the laundry area appealing. It’s bright and contains plenty of storage space for clothes and various laundry products. It could also double as a mud room for those who don’t want to track dirty footprints or worse into the rest of the home. N
