The northeast portion of the trail offers views of the Spokane River below the South Channel Dam.

Why do you recommend it?
The vast system of trails allows you to take a different route most every time, if you so desire. You can make it a quick, short hike or a nice 3-4 miler. Just across the Spokane River from Post Falls makes it fast and easy to get to.

What was most noteworthy?
A wide variety of terrain offers something for everyone. The trail includes a canyon area (where you will see rock climbers) as well as gentle hills and meadows. Spokane River views are nice especially when the dam is open and the water is rushing strong.

Are there restrooms?
Yes

Know before you go:
The trails are marked by colors. If you haven’t been there much, it is fairly easy to get off of the trail of the color you wanted to be on. It’s not really a big deal though as none of the trails a too long and it’s not hard to find your way back.

How do you get there?
Take I-90 to Post Falls to the Spo-kane Street. exit. From there, go south across the river and then take a right on Parkway Drive. You have entered Q’emiln Park. Trail maps are at each trail entrance.
